Vegetarian quiche is a great alternative for those who do not want to add meat in their quiche.

This recipe is also eggless so it is also suitable for vegans. This quiche receipe is not just vegetarians though.

Vegetarian quiche ingredients

The ingredients for the vegetarian quiche are:

a cup of heavy whipping cream

2 cups of diced Swiss cheese

half cup of diced yellow onion

1/3 cup of milk, 8 ounce of tofu

2 large mushrooms (fresh)

2 ounces black olives (sliced)

3 tbsp garlic and herb breadcrumbs

2 tsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of oregano leaves

1 tsp Italian seasoning

half bag of baby spinach leaves (best if you get the pre-washed spinach)

and finally non-stick cooking spray


You will also need the following things for the vegetarian quiche: an oven, Pyrex baking dish or a 9-inch round ceramic, big mixing bowl, measuring cups and spoons, wooden spoon, sharp knife, cutting board and oven mitts.

The first step in making vegetarian quiche is to do the chopping.

The Swiss cheese should be chopped into cubes (a little bigger than a dice). You will need 2 cups of that.

Next is to chop a yellow onion until you have half cup.

The fresh mushrooms should also be sliced and then work on chopping the baby spinach. Make sure that the spinach leaves are well-washed. Chop a handful each time. It will look a lot but once it gets mixed with the other ingredients it will shrink.

In a mixing bowl combine the tofu and milk. Add milk if needed.

Next step is to preheat the oven. It should be at 350 degrees. Use non-stick cooking spray on your baking dish.

Shake the carton of heavy cream then mix in with the tofu and milk. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend.

Once the mixture for the vegetarian quiche is ready move it into the baking dish and add a generous amount of garlic/herb breadcrumbs on top.

Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven.

Let it cool for about 20 minutes before slicing. And there you have your delicious vegetarian quiche.
